Will is survived by one brother, several cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family, and his long-term girlfriend over many years.
Will grew up in the downtown "Bowl" area of Edmonds, WA with his family that included 2 younger brothers Dave and Tim, attending Edmonds High School, and later obtaining his GED.
Will did a lot of jobs to support himself, a "jack of all trades" so to speak, who was mechanically inclined, and was known as a "Mr. Fix it". He loved fixing up and repairing/upgrading vehicles; and in his youth, always had something he was working on.
Most of all, he was known for his ready smile, upbeat and positive attitude, and welcoming spirit and demeanor toward ALL others, at all times, despite or regardless of his personal circumstances.
Will never met anyone that didn't like him, with people recalling him being one of the most genuine people they ever met, and this extended into his kindness, and heart for others.
He was also known for his fun-loving nature and ever-ready sense of humor and wittiness, even in the darkest times.
This is what Will will be remembered for, for this was Will's true essence as a person, and will be his everlasting legacy as a person he leaves behind for us all to remember him by.
(This writer, his brother Tim) recently reconnected with him earlier this year after many years of no contact, and I was so glad I did because it was these personal characteristics that came shining through once again, and reminded me just how special and a loving brother he was.
I now feel that reconnecting with him was not by chance. It was meant to happen.
Will always treated me well and was good to me throughout our growing up and adult years.
He was an awesome big brother that looked after me, and stood up for me when the situation dictated.
Our lives may have taken different paths, but our love for each other remained strong.
I'll be forever grateful for this time.
I know Will was a man of faith, and I wish to say God Bless You and RIP to Will at this time, along with your and everyone's thoughts and prayers, healing energies, etc, whatever your beliefs, all welcome and encouraged at this time.
An informal celebration of life is planned for Tuesday, August 20th at the Edmonds fishing pier, where we will be spreading his ashes in celebration of his life.
All are encouraged and welcome whose lives have in any way been touched by Will's.
